The thing you keep dancing around is that there are probably 50 different shaded ways to 'use force' and people are discussing many of them. And by 'We hire people to do this for us', I of course mean 'We elect (they hire) people to do this for us,' while we critique their efforts. There is absolutely nothing wrong for us say, 'Nope, that's just not good enough. Work harder. You say you are the smart guys, so figure out a better solution; you can always do better.'

Why, heck, bosses say this every day don't they and they usually have no clue how to accomplish the goal, just do it...
