I'm with you Lizzie. I know for a fact that IT services are heading offshore in a big way. The only folks that will be left are the coordinators/liasons in the US. It's the classic example of an industry that couldn't get enough people, so salaries exploded. Then the work was commoditized and shipped overseas to get costs back in control. The only folks in the U.S. who will be able to compete are those who will take a big salary cut or do contract work where they can get it.

Now that's IT services. R&D engineering is not such a clearcut case. With anything that builds new IP or sustains old IP, management has to be careful what they throw overseas. The risks are obvious. Anything overseas could be looted or stolen, as is the case with Huawei.
