as, re:We want Saddam to die too but not in a reckless invasion. I don't care if Saddam lives or dies, the point is to disarm Iraq before the weapons find their way into even more hostile hands. Why would the invasion be reckless, I imagine they are planning to do this thing as cleanly and with the smallest cost in American lives as possible. The object of war is let the other side die for their country. re:Not at the current cost which is incalcuable. Look at the economy today, do you think Bush did that by himself? I suspect the blow to the World Trade center did more damage than anyone wants to admit. What do you think the cost would be if someone uses Iraq's WMD in downtown New York - that would be incalculable. re:Get world opinion behind us and Saddam will crumple. World opinion is a nice thing, but we defend our own first. re:We can also surgically take him out if we're patient. Wow, what an idea - UN sanctioned assassination, you are going to get a resolution - right??
