You and D.Ray still don't get it. The Court did not change the law; instead it said certain laws passed by either Congress or state legislatures were unConstitutional. In other words, the Constitution never permitted the laws in the first place, and so they should not have been created. It is effectively changing the law, constitutional law, if it says the constitution says something that it does not. Please read the post I just did to D. Ray on the Miranda Act. Yes, the Constitution more than hints at it. We have a right to privacy under the Constitution including getting abortions. The constitution doesn't mention privacy and doesn't even vaguely hint at abortion. Even if a "right to privacy" was explicitly stated in the constitution it would be judicial activism to say that means there is a right to an abortion. Its in the English Common Law, starting with the Magna Carta, which served as the basis for the Constitution. You heard of the saying: The home is a man's castle. Well, it stems from the right to privacy as it effects property, assets and one's body. M. Jackson has the right to totally fuck up his nose. That right stems from right to privacy. those abortions can only take place during the first trimester Not according to the current legal regime. You can legally get an abortion after the first trimester in any state of the union. Even banning third trimester abortions where part of the baby is delivered (partial birth abortions) has been controversial. I may be wrong but, I thought only rape was just cause for an abortion beyond the first trimester. The right talks about individual rights but its all a scam. You really want to legislate everything that we can and can not do including when we go to the bathroom. Total BS. Its not total bs. You don't have the right to legislate what a person does with their body sexually or otherwise but the right has made every effort to do so in the name of morality. And if you deny that, then you are simply in denial. ted
