Great charts Kirk but this is not 1998. Keep in mind that the VIX hit over 60 the day the market rally began in 1998: stockcharts.com[h,a]dhclyyay[d19980909,19990101][pc20,50!d20,2!f][vc60][iut!Uo14!La12,26,9!Lh14,3!Lc20]&pref=G Yesterday it barely got over 41. I'm sure we can find a number of other areas where yesterday's bottom is not flagged as the real deal but that one is a big one for me. RtS
