No, a few years ago it was just computer models, but not any more. Now it is based more on the measurable impact of the warming that has already ocurred, measured against solar and climatic observations. The evidence is now way beyond some theoretical argument. The only voices that seem arrayed on the opposing side are vested interests -- and even there they are dropping like flies and shifting to react to the threat as the evidence becomes more clear.
