We currently run a 9bn trade deficit with China and a 6bn deficit with Japan. We buy more clothes and Toyotas than they buy Coca-Cola. Believe me, the last thing in the world the Chinese & the Japanese want is a decline in the US economy. If America gets mad & stops buying their products, their economies go into the tank. Russia & Europe cannot pick up the slack. Look, Bush is not doing the world any favors, but the notion that a new world order is going to arise is quite out of the question for the next 2 decades(China has the potential).
