I actually think he might end up agreeing to all of them. He's already agreed to 2 or 3 of them.

I am guessing here, but I think that he may not get the chance. A new strategy has emerged to blame France for sabotaging the diplomatic process with their intransigence, to blame the failure of diplomacy on France, and proceed without a vote.

I was surprised that France rejected Britain's demands to Saddam even before Saddam had a chance to respond. That was as big a gaffe as some that Bush has pulled. I don't much care for the French......great country though....but I don't like all the bad blood that is being created. The French may be a-holes, but they are closer to us and truer allies than someone like Pakistan.

Anyway, the fact that the diplomacy phase has turned into such a failure is a strong argument for closing this chapter as quickly as possible and move to the next phase. Hopefully March 18 it is.

Yeah, like Eric, I believe its time to get it over with.....stretching it out is only making things worse and intensifying animosities. I wish the hell Saddam would opt for exile. He's getting up there in years........I don't understand why doesn't want to move into some senior housing near the ocean or something. <g>
