how was the show, in general?

I liked it. :o)

I kept remembering your words to the effect that when you hear Fareed, you are hearing 'Fareed'. Yes, I thought he was strong in making his points, particularly about how, even though he sees no alternative to the use of force, we need to reassure the rest of the world about our intentions. The fact of the matter is, he said, countries around the world have seen us manhandle the Taliban 6,000 miles away and effortlessly increase our military budget by 50 billion dollars--more than the entire German defense budget. Frankly, we are so overwhelmingly dominant in every dimension of western civilization, we have the world scared sh&%@%$$ right now-- a reflection of their uncertainty as to our intentions in the long run We need to convince the other nations that we will continue to consider their interests as we consider our own rather than just running roughshod over everyone else.

IMO, FZ was strong in scoring points against Hoffman's positions. I was suprised at how FZ had no hesitation in presenting his considerably different viewpoints.

I watched the show with more than a little shock that I may have had something to do with its origin--but we'll never really know I suppose...

P.S. some here say (hearsay?) they'd like to see Mr. Boy on the show... :o)
