FYI. It looks like a decision on the Chambishi tender may be close/final bids were submitted last week/there should be some news in the next few days! After meetings with ZCCM, the final FM bid was obviously structured to ensure a positive outcome. In other words, ZCCM and the government would find it VERY difficult to award this one to another bidder. The recent weakness in the stock price is again due to C.M. Oliver (apparent end of month housekeeping/profit taking). From the trading the past two days, this should not last much longer. Also, one should not underestimate the potential for FM to acquire other mining assets/properties in Africa. DRT
