Personally, I just wish some sign of resistance from the Baathists would emerge. That the Southern Iraqis and Northern Kurds will work for regime change is apparent. But central Iraq is the big question mark. Without some sign of courage, one wonders if they support Hussein. And signs of resistance might convince antiwar folks elsewhere.


They were burnt too badly last time. And they are afraid the anti-war movement could win and leave Saddam in power.
