Think of the call of Dow 25,000 to name just one.

Yeah - everybody remembers Blodget as sort of the poster child for this, with his amzn to $400 call which turned out to be correct and made him a star (temporarily). But people seem to always attach these way out predictions to bulls- but lately there have been bearish calls just as hyped, I'm thinking of Holly Becker, she made a correct bearish yahoo call at the start of the bear, but then wouldn't let it go and kept trying to downgrade amzn on valuation as it kept rising in 2002 (amzn was about the ONLY stock to go up in 2002). Finally she went the way of Blodget. Maybe the ouster of bearish hype is yet another bottom indicator for stocks.
