And I doubt it will be about Hersh's fact checking.

It will undoubtedly be about Hersh's fact-checking should things heat up between the two, which is unlikely.

A good example of Hersh's braying which was ignored by the august all-seeing forum is the BS he wrote about an airlift ordered directly by the Bush administration that "rescued" some 4,000 to 5,000 Al Qaeda and Taliban fighters by airlifting them to safety out of Afghanistan in advance of attacking US troops.

It appeared in the January 28, 2003 edition of the New Yorker and was good for a protracted laugh.

As I recall, the Pakistani President supposedly asked Bush for the US airlift of a bunch of Pakistani Taliban and AQ fighters out of the path of the oncoming US forces because he would suffer politically if they were to be captured. According to Hersh, Bush supposedly agreed to airlift the Pakistanis. Somehow a bunch of non-Pak AQ members got in on the deal. They were airlifted to safety in US planes.

Interesting story--Pulitzer material. But there's a problem: Why did no other media report the story? If true, it's an enormous piece of news.

The story died on the vine because it was sensationalistic and untrue. Just like the BS he printed about Perle.

This is not the only example of Hersh's approaching senile dementia but the most recent and probably the most egregious. There are lots others, but I don't want to get started. He's not worth the effort.
