Lazarus, What has happened is the UN has become infested with appeasers. They have optimised how they can live well on their governments money and the free rent of the USA and do not want to actually make decisions. Many countries buy and sell UN member votes. The UN needs a secret ballot. Japan buys votes to promote whaling. USSR/France are buying votes in this scenario. What can the US do? pay more, that is how the system runs. The UN has come to the end of it's lifetime. As for Bush and the UN, well, it looks like some delay will ensue and then the USA will invade and let the facts exposed save the bacon of Bush and Blair, before the next election. The discovery of WMD evidence will save their collectives asses. Bill
