From Sun Tzu's 'On The Art Of War'...

Here are two passages to pay attention to regarding winning the peace over in Iraq:

* When you engage in actual fighting, if victory is long in coming, then men's weapons will grow dull and their ardor will be damped. If you lay siege to a town, you will exhaust your strength.

* Again, if the campaign is protracted, the resources of the State will not be equal to the strain.

I hope we do not get bogged down over there. Occupying Iraq for several years would qualify, IMO...Going in WITHOUT a strong global coalition and United Nations support is asking for trouble when it comes to the difficult and expensive 'Nation Building' that must take place after Saddam leaves power...I don't think The Bush Administration has adequately prepared Congress or the country for what may lie ahead if we go into Iraq.
