Gary >>>It is a swelling growl, a rumble, a rising of people against the idea, that there is to be a global leading power, that someone should have the right to speak in the name of the rest, to overrun them, to determine everything. A new wind has risen with the end of the balance of fear and the Bush government, imprudently or all too sincerely, has showed us all, which direction it is coming from.<<<

Yes, the War party is soon to find out, if it hasn't already, that the pen is, indeed, mightier than the sword and that there is nothing more powerful than an idea when its time has come.

Without intending to do so, in fact the contrary, the Bush government has furthered the cause of peace, democracy and the rule of law throughout the world in a way and to an extent that could not have been previously imagined.

Whether there is to be a war or there isn't this Iraq "crisis" has been a transforming moment in world history.

I know it sounds like hifalutin' crap --- but that's the way I see it!
