or poisoned by chemical/biological agents during the war,

Saddam and Hans Blix are telling us that they have no such
weapons. What are you worried about?

(Clever little bastage ain't I?) <g> <ng> Just kidding but also
trying to make a point.

Securing these oil wells are probably a high priority in
the strategy as indicated in that article I pasted here
earlier.

So that plan would be labeled as extremely optimistic and
the same oil that has been sold on the black market for the
last 10 years is what can be sold in greater volume now
(perhaps). So a "best" scenario would not require it to
take very long.

In a "worst" scenario it could be very expensive but the
inventory is still collateral on what ever costs it might
incur. Cheney's fat friends will be more than willing to
fund it.

Given that you get large amounts of cheap oil from Iraq (and that's quite a given) so that the world oil price plummets, then oil producers economies are severely injured. Without going into what sort of problems economic instability would produce in Mexico, Venezuela and Russia, just consider the Islamic countries with enhanced terrorism conditions. 'Course the environmental impact of plentiful cheap oil is a whole different argument.

A couple of things...

We are not talking about fifty cents per gallon gas here.

Also, I'm sure Shrub is making agreements with Mexico and
the others that they won't kill them with unfair prices. He needs their votes.

Besides they were in business a few years ago when we were
pumping lower priced gas.

You know I'm arguing this with half a heart and would like
to see some articles on why it will cost so much. If I ask
for those articles I won't get them. But if I argue about
it someone will probably get enraged enough to find some
for me... <g> <ng>
