AS, check the thread and note that I have posted articles and have commented on each of the potential Democratic nominees. Some might suggest that I am obsessed with Carol Mosely-Braun. Kerry gets more attention at this point because he is the front runner. Front runners always receive more scrutiny.

Bush has earned the right to wear the military jacket as our Commander in Chief. As for photo ops, please...I can't wait to see Kerry's home movies from Vietnam.

I respect and salute Kerry's combat experience but that in itself does not qualify him to head up our armed forces. Arguably, if it made him too hesitant to commit troops it could work against our national interests. I think that you would agree that civilian control and direction of the military is a healthy thing.

If you are suggesting that Bush is willing to cavalierly put our troops in danger, you are flat out wrong. Kerry may have held dying men in his arms, but Bush has held the loved ones of our dead warriors in his arms. He has mourned with them in private, unlike that POS that preceded him.

I suspect that Bush has enormous support from veterans. He certainly had their support against Gore. It will be interesting to see the numbers when the pollsters start drilling into the numbers next year. Kerry's combat experience won't win him a free pass for his anti-war activities. Clinton dodged that bullet, but then nobody had any pictures of him.

I will give Kerry credit for speaking out against the Vietnam War prior to actually serving in Vietnam. He was consistent, even if he was wrong. I am surprised that you have not been repetitiously posting that fact. You did read the Kerry profile in The New Yorker last year? Feel free to start using this fact without attribution.
