FASB has nothing to do with executive compensation versus rank and file compensation, nor is it in their job description to have an opinion on an issue like this. Nor it is in their job description to have an opinion on how much options are a good thing or to define options as a good or bad thing. Looks like they were making some sort of call on this to me- Second, it <FASB> dismissed warnings that companies will dole out fewer options to rank-and-file workers if options must be reported as expenses. siliconvalley.com
