Some people in this country are prepared to die in order to maintain our freedom. Some have always been content to allow others to do the heavy lifting. Yes it's difficult to connect the dots between Korea and our freedom or Iraq and terrorism as it was with the arms race with the Soviet Union.

THAT's why we're having this discussion.

Saddam is a bad ass who hates the US. How can you sit there and ignore what this SOB has done? Killed thousands in the Iraq/Iran war, gassed his own people to end uprisings, invaded Kuwait, thumbed his nose at untold UN resolutions, attempted to assassinate George Bush Senior.

Many of GWB's critics were against the move to Afghanistan. They said he was an "Idiot." Well that "Idiot's" leadership is winning the war on Terror. Another one bit the dust today, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Osama has been reduced to faxes and periodic voice recordings. His organization is severely restricted. Sure we're scared, but this is one huge country to protect and we're likely to get hit again.

These bad guys will ruin it for everyone if we sit back and let them. Peace will never have a chance if we let these tyrants run the world....unless you think nerve gassing your own people is an acceptable practice? I KNOW you're smarter than that, the question is do you have the courage? When the bad guys come marching down the street to steal you're SUV then you will, but then it will be too late.

In any case, let's hope that whatever happens results in the beginning of the end of tyranny and at minimal loss of life on either side.
