Greeks demand Bush be rocketed into outer space

Greek anti-war protesters are demanding George Bush be sent into outer space.
ananova.com than 10,000 anti-war demonstrators marched to the American embassy in central Athens and shouted they want to send the US President into orbit.

They chanted: "We'll put Bush in a NASA rocket so he will stop murdering people."

The protest outside the US embassy is part of a series of rallies planned throughout Greece to protest a possible US-led invasion of Iraq.

Protesters also carried banners which read "Stop the war" and "No to the barbarism of the war."

About 100 protesters also gathered for a demonstration around the defense ministry on the outskirts of Athens

About 4,000 protesters in the northern port of Thessaloniki also took part in three separate demonstrations that ended with marches to the US consulate.

Protesters in Thessaloniki fixed a plaque on the gates of its port and burned a cardboard missile outside the consulate.

"In memory: to the 1999-2003 victims of NATO, USA, European Union in Yugoslavia, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, all over the world," the plaque read.
