Dogs Roam the Streets of Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Houston to Find Missing Dogpile.com Mascot

Will make another appearance tomorrow (March 16) to spread word of $20,000 reward
March 2003 (Newstream) On Saturday, March 15, in the first half of a heroic two-day campaign to find beloved meta-search engine Dogpile.com mascot "Arfie," several of his canine companions pounded the pavement in five major U.S. cities to spread the word of a $20,000 reward for the missing animated Dalmatian dog. Twenty-five dogs in total roamed the streets of Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Houston wearing "Missing Arfie" sandwich boards and asking their handlers to pass out leaflets containing information about his reward. In Seattle, even a local celebrity joined the pet parade. Marilee Rush, best known for her 1960s hit "Angel in the Morning," agreed to participate as a handler for one of the dogs and was spotted on several downtown streets.

In another tireless effort to find Arfie, the dogs will be appearing again tomorrow in the same cities between 11 a.m.-4 p.m. If you would like to meet these dogs and get more information or a photo, they will be available between 11-11:30 a.m. at the following locations:

Seattle - Pike Place Market
Denver - 16th Stree
Atlanta - CNN Center/Centennial Par
Philadelphia - Walnut & Broa
Houston - Uptown Park
Arfie has been missing since Tuesday, March 11. Concerned search engine users can help Arfie's furry friends and enter to win a chance to scoop up the $20,000 reward by visiting www.dogpile.com. Participants need only answer five quick questions correctly and they qualify.
Dogpile's meta-search technology lets users dig through 13 different search engines -- including leaders like Ask Jeeves, About and Overture -- all at once, in a single click. So the answers you get are comprehensive, relevant and fast.

Editor's Note: Pictures from today's pet walk in Seattle are available for publication.
