JO, the article on water supply for that area is filled with inaccuracies. To give a couple of examples:

1. The Sea of Gallilee is salty but is fed by rivers and underground streams, which also provide the unique water supply for Jerusalem. If the Israelis were truly serious about controlling their water supply, they would have to control not only the Golan Heights but most of Lebanon as well, because these areas provide the water that reaches a great deal of Israel through acquifers.

2. The water supply for Saudi Arabia comes from several sources, including oases, which tap underground acquifers. Desalination of sea water is also a source for Israel. There is no truth to the notion that someone may have towed an iceberg to the area to provide fresh water. That idea has been suggested, but it is one thing to suggest and quite another to implement.
