Take over possibilities are,imho,minimal. LCEC's are a specialized group who have been put into business by the FCC. I do not bel;ieve the FCC would look favorably upon a takeover or an acquisition. Also,keep in mind the hugh debt the company has built up. As far as positioning-GTE is the local telephone company in HAwaii ( Hawiian Tele Co and the major long haul carriers also have POP's there.
