PT,

Very limited ground stuff the first few days. During Desert Shield we dropped thousands of bombs. Only 10% were precision guided. This time around we plan to, again, drop thousands of weapons, but 80-90% will be precision guided. Guidance technology has gotten much better since 1991. These new weapons are incredible. There will be misses; there will be civilian deaths. There will be far fewer misses than the last encounter. This crap about jamming the GPS signals…crap. Most targets will be laser designated.

Do you have any idea how many American soldiers were on the ground, inside Iraq, prior to the 24 Feb 91 launch of Desert Storm? There were many. This time that number is double or triple…they are everywhere…right now.

There will be plenty of troops on the ground for the "Big Show".

The 7th Cav. One hell of a fine unit. The Iraqi troops will do well to lay their weapons down and put their hands up. (Just like they did 12 years ago). You have no idea of the hell we are prepared to rain onto the Iraqi Army. The war will be quickly over.

What do you know of military theater operations? Sounds like you are very well versed. Must be all that CNN and FOX TV education that you watch. Sort of a West Point-Naval Academy correspondence course thingy, hu?

Please, no more tactics or logistics classes.
