I think attacking Iraq will bring a rally at least at first. I am in cash but not for long. I think there are two big negatives for the market after the initial rally. In the short term the economy is looking weaker and if it gets worse it will be a real drag. Longer term I don't think Americans understand what a can of worms Bush is opening. Iraq is the Yugoslavia of the middle east. In the beginning people will welcome the troops (and I'll be long in anticipation of the welcoming party) but before the said time for withdrawal is up, it will turn into quick sand (and I'll be short once the rally is over).
