PSINet deploys ASND switches Wednesday July 30 3:47 PM EDT ALAMEDA, Calif., July 30 (Reuter) - Ascend Communications Inc said Wednesday PSINet Inc (PSIX) has agreed to a ``major deployment'' of MAX TNT wide-area-network (WAN) access switches. PSINet, an Internet service provider, will use the switches to expand its capacity by 40,000 ports. It will use the multiprotocol MAX TNTs for both analog and ISDN access applications, the company said in a press release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
