Well, I stand corrected; I sure did. Stating they would be collateral damage. It's a leap of faith that we must believer the Iraqi troops will be intermingled among the civilian population in Baghdad. Supposedly Baghdad will be bombed for 48 hours straight. Knowing they are targeted, do you think the troops are there waiting to be bombed? Civilians have a hard time getting out of harm's way, but mobile troops don't. Last night I watched a forensics show about GPS locaters (plus or minus 30 feet, although military GPS are on target). Three years ago with satellite technology, the local police were able to locate and take pictures of a burial sight. You have to know that whatever technology we are aware of, the government has cabilities ten years beyond that. They can probably detect troops by their weapons. I would like to believe if this war occurs that it will be over in a week or less with a minimum of civilian casualties, but I've read that there's a psychological aspect to this attack that an impact must be made. I have been reading everything I can and I keep hoping war can be averted. If war cannot be stopped, I pray for as little destruction and devastation as possible. I want to believe that Bush et al know what's best, but these danged stories that refute Powell, Bush, Rumsfeld and Perle's claims keep popping up anyway.
