Quit siding with the energy thieves by covering up for them. Enron spent millions on Tv disinformation campaigns with GOP operatives in charge stating exactly the kind of thing you're posting now to try and blame it on Grey Davis. When they were the ones pulling it off, and using our money for those very disinformation ads. Davis was blind-sided and was between a rock and a hard place. Asked Ken Lay for help and Lay lied to him, then continued ripping us off. The greatest ever theft in modern history. For which no one is yet in jail, and wont be if Bush-Cheney can help it. Also helped throw the country into recession, put Bush in power and has resulted in massive state debts, service cuts, hospital closures and higher taxes. What are you going to say next, that John Gotti was not responsible for racketeering in New York but it was Guliani's fault? Get real. Enron and friends were major league skunks, controlled the markets and grossly abused them WITH the full knowledge and support of the Bush-Cheney crowd. One of the greatest un-punished crimes ever. Bush-Cheney were NOT out of the loop. They lied to us and told us it was free market at play, and we needed 1300 new power plkants ASAP, which Halliburton and Duke would build at our expense. Gross corruption. And if Jeffords hadn't switched parties it never would have ended. The week after JKeffords switched and the energy gouging suddenly stopped (Democrat Senate subpeona powers suddenly which could have brought down Bush) there was a SURPLUS of power. No explanation. Do your homework, read the evidence and dont be partisan about it. Republicans got ripped off too.
