Again, I must disagree. Davis is a great politician, but showing himself to be a lousy statesman. Davis' campaign against Riordan and Simon was one of the most brilliant political campaigns of our time. He should have lost against both, but pulled them both out with timely and focused messages that exposed the weaknesses of both of these opponents. He is a great fundraiser, sly, and slippery.

However, he's turning out to be a lousy governor. As our schools prepare to layoff and cut to the bone, and our state and local government prepares to cut services and programs, our taxes are rising with no end to the deficit. As top man, he has to be held accountable for the state of the state, energy ripoff notwithstanding.
