Ah Scott, the similarity with these two clearly disparate
situations ends with those who are lying for personal gain.
You see, in 1999, we had analysts lying so the houses could
unload their inventory onto an unsuspecting public. We had
CEO's lying to ramp share prices so they could earn even
larger bonuses & sell their options at sky high prices,
etc., etc. And out of greed those unethical, immoral liars
successfully deceived a majority of the Joe Six Pack
investors.
Today we have fanatical left wingers lying & slandering the
Bush Administration, falsely claiming it is in the name of
peace, diplomacy, security, etc., etc (this includes all
the lies about the economy & other domestic issues too). In
reality they are doing it for purely political reasons. And
what they are doing is just as unethical & immoral as those
who lied to the public during the stock market bubble.
They do this even when they know that Saddam has
outmanuvered the UN for more than 12 years with his cheat &
retreat games. They know that if given more time Saddam
will not disarm, but it will give more time for them to
stirr up the masses with more lies & deceit. Most of them
know full well that Saddam still has all manner of WMD &
WMD programs. They know that Saddam is a threat to the
region & in time his WMD could give him global reach. They
know Saddam has terrorist ties. They know Saddam has a 30
year record of the most vile human rights violations.
And knowing all of this, they still resort to outrageous
lies, blatant distortions baseless allegations & fantasy
land conspiracy theories. Why is why they resort to their
unethical, immoral ways? I submit that is is about politics
first & foremost. And the left wing has lost it's soul
IMVCO.
Those lying now are not accomplishing what the liars from
the 1999 stock market bubble accomplished. It seems the
majority can see through those lies & deceit. Heck, the
2002 elections should have been a clear indicator that this
bullshit doesn't fly.
You can defend it all you want. You can delude yourself
into thinking I am the one who is wrong & that Stockman
Scott & his peers (including Sen Kerry, ET AL) are all
telling the absolute truth for all I care. The fact of the
matter is that this obvious bullshit is not helping your
party at all IMVHO. |
