So you are basically agreeing with me that it is sanctions that killed so many Iraqis rather than Saddam's use of oil revenues. Here, I had written as much in this post: Message 18709612 Yep. The reason those medicines, chlorine, etc. are not available is due to Saddm's brutal, murderous regime. Not due to his "misuse" of oil revenues, though, as you initially claimed. 65,000 Iraqis die each year as a result of the misuse of the UN sanctioned oil revneus by Saddam. That is a fact. Message 18708292 Even if he were to use 100% of those revenues to build hospitals, schools, etc for his people, sanctions would prevent importing sanitizing chemicals and medicines. Hence, people would still die because of sanctions. Thanks for making my point clear. No problem. Try to be clearer next time.
