Bruce, Harry could better answer that question, he and Steve are now trading stories about their kids! Rapport is everything. My impression was that sometime this year, with first production profits in 1quarter, 98.
As for the RYO, this is exactly the consolidation that will be good for you, no one can mine gold at these prices for long, except maybe Placer,or Barrick who has it sold forward until 2000! They will be the companies that go on the prowl to gobble up smaller ones with proven reserves, but no $ to operate. If you just know the ones they will go after, you stand to get rich, but you have to develop an investors attitude here, not a traders. Buy a couple of mines on sale and hold them. If they have reserves, and good management, they will survive, albeit under a different name possibly, and it may take a few years, but it will happen. Nothing has lowered the demand for gold and gold jewelry lately, that is a fact I hang on to. Brian
