I understand where you are coming from re Saddam's responsibility for the sanctions. However, it is not him deciding on which items need to be forbidden, and there, the responsibility is entirely on the shoulders of the countries imposing them - that's us.

Can you think of one reason why antibiotics should be forbidden? Vitamins?

I feel ZERO guilt for the ramifications of sanctions that could have been lifted with compliance.

Well, some of us empathise a bit more for others' suffering.
