I think the Russian market is in a long term bull market. However, there will be a buying opportunity in it this December due to the Duma and President elections. Putin will be re-elected again, since his approval ratings are sky-high, but the commies are still there to scare the heck out of investors. They still may get the majority of seats in the Duma. The land reform (a.k.a. privatization of land) is starting to happen in Russia, which is long awaited bullish news. My fear is that some day there may be a commie president. It is unlikely that the system will change, but the reforms will be put on hold for 4 years or so.
