Larry, Damon Vickers did call the market top in spring of 2000. I did not follow him that far back, however.

I believe he was a Brinker supporter - until the ill-fated QQQ's. He said he supported Brinker's investment overall approach.

Vickers has indicated that he has made a bunch of money the last 3 years actively shorting stocks. He has indicated that a number of his investment clients have done likewise (by following his specific shorting advice).

He had been a financial radio show host but was dropped some time shortly after his market call top. Apparently, the vast number of callers - after that - didn't want to hear that the 'party was over' & they were instrumental in having him removed from the radio airwaves.

He did return, however, perhaps about a year ago on an independent nationwide network of business talk stations - ironically calling themselves the Moneytalk Network!

Last month he apparently lost his current radio contract. As you can probably tell by the last link I attached (and the home page one below), Vickers is still EXTEREMELY bearish.
