Kick:

Your right, of course, but that was not my import. Look at the situation. This is not a commentary on the morals of the distributor.

This transaction discloses some very basic faults in the hp/compaq indirect distribution system, at a time when cpq at least claims the have been rationalizing and streamlining the system.

There is this accounting thingy called a purchase order system which any high school accounting student would have implemented which would have nipped this sort of thing in the bud.

Now I am making a mistake that others frequently make; I don't really have all the facts--maybe the perps falsified the po's.

But it was a 20 million dollar order. You know you can clic on the website and clic goverment purchaser!!!! That seems to be in effect what these guys did.

Now you have hp undercutting itself on prices. How dumb is that??? This is not the way to run a railroad.

Couple that with hp's failure to launch centrino. These guys are missing a beat. This puts them at war with intel.

Well, I guess nobody likes to negotiate any more. :))

Or as Yoda would say, A railroad no way to run this is.
