Andrew,
What you call "man" is in reality billions of individuals. Taken together with the vagueness of "harmony" and "trash" it is hard to see a cogent argument in what you say.
Some individuals will live in some degree of harmony with the environment. Some individuals, perhaps all, will trash the earth to some extent. All of us use resources everyday, and fail to replace them. In some ways, we have no choice, at least if we want to be normal. How can I avoid using plastic completely, for example?
I respect the environment, and teach my children the same. It does not change the fact that we are using up our resources, and damaging our environment, unavoidably, by our mere presence.
What you are suggesting, that it is possible to live on the earth without disposing of it, is possible only if we return to the life of the hunter/gatherer. You could do that yourself, but can you convince the rest of the world's population as well?
