Sean,
I finally made it back from Vancouver. There really isn't to much to report on that's new. There should be an announcement any day now with a go ahead on the financing deal. I actually saw the press release, they are just waiting for VSE approval. They have to give 7 business days notice of the record date, so once they announce it you will still have time to buy more stock if you want. Once the money is in the bank (30 days after record date) they will get their TSE listing. It will probably take about 2 to 4 weeks after they see the money.(paperwork) So we should see the TSE listing by early September.
I was sitting in the office when James King(I.R.) took a call from someone at ABBOTT. The TB test kit takes about 5 minutes for results, the people at ABBOTT have been working with it and think they can get that down to 1 minute.
I was taken on a tour of the lab, later that day a group at Yorkton Sec. from Toronto was coming in for a tour as well. They said they would be interested in doing a $20-25M financing at a later date when the stock price is higher.
The current financing will be enough to complete phase I on their own. This should start early '97.
They are close to a deal to license out the cancer drug.(no real details)
They have had several offers from companies on the Apanol, but have so far turned them down. Unless they get a very good deal they will probably hold out untill they start or complete phase I.

I think you may see quite a bit of selling after the financing record date by people getting money to buy the rights, but once that is done I think we will see another good run in the price. Especially in September-October when they get the TSE listing and thats also when ABBOTT has to get back to them on a deal.

The study you were referring to (effects on cAMP and other mediators) was done to try and determine the mechanism of action of Apanol. It was not a indicator of its effectiveness. It just showed the Apanol didn't have an affect on cAMP and several other mediators therefore must work on some other pathway.

Steve
