This is fueled by short covering and buying by those
who think a bull market will start once bombs start
dropping in Baghdad just like in 1991. The only difference
is in 1991 no one expected a bull market to start after
the war whereas now every one and their mother is positioned
long for the bull to resume after the war. I think the bear
market began way before Iraq was on the radar screen and will not end with the Iraq war. Like previous bear market rallies it is doing a great job in pulling in money from
the sidelines.
