Not dim, America has been very good to me. Just a realistic view of the U.S.'s role in the world when it comes to supporting democracy. We certainly haven't always supported democracy. In fact, there are many examples of when we ovthrew democracies when it was in our interest to do so. The people of the world know this, even if ignorant Americans don't. The examples are in black and white: Iran, Greece, Chile, Guatemala, etc. I can't ignore reality, even if others wish to do so.
