U S Liquids Comments on Rumors of Possible Business in Iraq

HOUSTON, March 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In response to market rumors, U S Liquids Inc. (Amex: USL - News) announced today that it does not anticipate that its business will benefit from a war in Iraq. Cary Grossman, Chief Financial Officer, stated, "While it is normally not U S Liquids' practice to comment on market rumors, we have recently become aware of rumors that our business will somehow benefit from a war in Iraq.
We wish to clarify that we do not have a contract to perform any services in Iraq, nor do we anticipate entering into any such contract."
