France Would Fight If Iraq Uses Chemical Weapons, CNN Reports 2003-03-18 10:13 (New York) Washington, March 18 (Bloomberg) -- Jean-David Levitte, France's ambassador to the U.S., said France would fight if Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein uses chemical and biological weapons against coalition forces, Cable News Network reported. ``If Saddam Hussein were to use chemical and biological weapons, this would change the situation completely and immediately for the French government,'' Levitte said during a briefing, CNN reported. ``We have equipment to fight in these circumstances,'' Levitte said.
