No land army has ever conquered Russia and I doubt they ever would. Same is true of USA. We could have been destroyed at one time, but never over run IMHO. Can you IMAGIN all the citizen soldiers we could field with all our privately owned weapons? However, I seem to recall Patton merely wanted to kick there butts back to Russia. It was of course prepostorous as they were our ally at the time. However, had we known what Stalin was going to turn into we just might have been tempted. jdn
