LOL.... the p51 was absolutely the best 2000km range fastest and deadliest fighter. In several instances P51's destroyed armored columns during the war. More ignorance of the facts. The question you raised deals with capability and speaking of opinions of folks at the time has nothing to do with the fact that the USA was capable of driving the Russians out of Russia. And as the Russians early on welcomed the Germans as liberators, the Russians would quickly repeat the same for Americans. The latter also has nothing to do with the fact that America had the ability to drive the Russian's out of Russia.

Of course you could attempt to explain to us what is wrong with this quote. The North American P 51 Mustang "the aircraft that changed the course of the war..."
