DDT is supposedly not a health hazard to humans. It was causing birds' eggs to become thin and brittle, which was having an adverse effect on the bird population.

Your point is well taken, however, to the extent there are other chemicals used overseas that have been proven harmful and banned here.

BTW, has anyone seen the new TV commercials for Chilean fruit and the Chilean Central Valley?
