<Ari Fleischer just this morning said that everyone is entitled to express his opinion>

I listened to the whole exchange. First, he attacked the Dems for their hesitant nit-picking of Bush's war. He made the "criticism is unpatriotic" statement, that I've heard repeatedly lately. Then, several reporters said exactly what I just said, that this amounts to an attempt by the Administration to wrap themselves in the flag and silence dissent. Then, Ari said, "everybody is entitled to express their opinion." It was a throw-away statement, contradicting what he had just said. It sounded as insincere as when Bush says he's in favor of a Palestinian State.

This is just like their support for democracy in Turkey and Mexico and the UN: "we support democracy, as long as the decision goes our way. If votes go against us, then they are illegitimate."
