yes and no. How's that for straight shooting. ;-)

By yes, I simply mean that it points away from a thread member and to the larger argument. However, by no, I mean that I think it best, in the larger sense, that the proponents of this invasion and the opponents of the war try to remember that most of us think we are acting morally in our positions. We may disagree about the specific moral standard offered and/or the arguments for that standard, but we consider it is moral.

To argue, as opposing to just throwing around charges, which is what I thought you were doing, that someone's position is not moral even though they think it so, is a tricky business in my view. One needs to advance a moral standard that both you and the other would accept and then note that relative to that standard the opponent's position is not only less moral, but not moral. Hard to do. At least on this thread with the long time posters.
