Not by a long shot. Kennedy is faded out, soon to retire and has a drinking and womanizing problem. He is still powerful in some ways but he's taken a far backseat to Kerry. As he should. Yes, he supports him, but Kerry is the man now. Kennedy hasn't been the man in a long time.
Kery is the new leader of the Dem party and he doesn't need Kennedy for anything. Least of all fundraising which is primarily the way senior politicians control juniors. As Tom delay does with all the young GOP congressmen. And Frist does as well. Get your facts straight before you post this rubbish again. It's just empty RNC spins, the only thing they can think of to attack Kerry. Kerry is well aware of it and laughs about it. It wont stick and it wont matter once the nation knows John Kerry.
