You really are displaying more ignorance of historical facts than normal today. Elected leaders/governments overthrown by US-engineered coups: Iran (twice), Chile, Guatamala. (I'm sure there are others... these just spring to mind). Elections 'turned' by US financed vote fraud: Italy, Greece, (Russia?), Mexico, again... likely many others. Number of 'tin-pot' petty despots overthrown and replaced by more 'compliant' tin-pot despots: Well, probably too many to list, but let's start with one of our ultimately less 'helpful' despots that was elevated: Saddam H. Entire nations carved out of some other nation because the original nation wouldn't play ball with us: Panama. These are very incomplete lists :)
